Karina Gasperin was born in Cordoba, Veracruz, Mexico and moved to the United States in 1999. She is a third generation broadcaster and communicator. Media Communication has always been a part of her life. In 1995 she and her husband Jorge Vazquez, founded OYE Productions, a Bilingual Media and Entertainment company. 

She is a mother of two beautiful girls who are the engine, energy and desire that pushes her to create changes in the community. In 2007 they realized that the Latino community was growing dramatically and that there wasn’t a source of communication on television and they decided to produce their first television program called “Rico Amanecer” Now with the name of “Actitud Latina.” 2010 was a very active year for the company.

They work as a team with Consejo Counseling and Referral Services providing vital information to the community. Seattle Community Access Network nominated them for the 2010 SCAN Award under the category of Favorite Foreign Language or Cultural Perspectives Program. She received a 2010 Molina Health of Washington Community Champions Award for the efforts and willingness to advocate on behalf of the Hispanic Community..
